Part-Time Childcare Assistant (Midday) — Krishna Scholars

San Jose, CA · Part-Time · $23–$25/hour (based on experience)

Krishna Scholars is a small, licensed, values-based preschool and daycare offering young children a warm, safe, and nurturing environment rooted in Vedic culture. We are looking for a caring, energetic assistant to support our midday hours.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM (20 hours/week)

What You'll Do:

• Supervise and actively engage children during morning outdoor play

• Help settle and put young children down for their nap

• Watch over children during nap time, ensuring their comfort and safety

• Assist with hygiene, hand-washing, and diaper changes

• Support mealtimes and light tidying

This is a hands-on care role — no teaching or lesson planning required.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Genuinely loves young children and is warm and patient

• Is active, attentive, and happy to move with the children (not sit on the sidelines)

• Is gentle and calm — especially good at soothing little ones to sleep

• Is reliable and dependable

• Is comfortable in a vegetarian, onion- and garlic-free environment

• Is respectful of our Vedic/Hindu cultural values

• Can pass a background check and TB clearance (required for licensed childcare)

Childcare experience is a plus but not required — a caring, energetic attitude matters most.
